so for the next and last necklace of this series (rings next!) , I'm doing this post on my origami owl!
Origami Owl is a new thing, and surprisingly a lot of people haven't heard of it yet. It's basically a locket for charms and you wear it around your neck or wrist. There are THOUSANDS OF CHARMS and they are so hard to pick out, so thank God i didn't pick mine.
My mom got my sister and I these necklaces for Easter and I almost cried. Each little charm in my locket represented something important to me, and she captured every single one of them.
Here is my locket! (this was really tricky to take pictures of, the glare just wouldn't go away.
P.s. Please try to deal wit my horrible nails i apologize. Some are pink in a few pictures and them some are just plain omg please don't mind them, i bite, bite, bite. Sorry again!
So basically this is so awesome i can't wait to talk about this hahaha!
So the locket can go on many different chains, mine is on a plain 24" chain so it hangs pretty low which i love. My locket is silver, and it actually has gems around the silver, but when i don't feel like being "sparkly" i flip it around to the plain side! On the side are two charms that my mom picked out, one is an angel wings, and another is a black bead (because she knows how much i love black muahahah.) There are gold lockets and chains as well, i just personally wear more silver!
So here's my favorite part, THE CHARMS.
These charms are so tiny, that when putting them into you're locket you have to use special tweezers. While taking pictures of these, i dropped one, and thought it was gone forever.... BUT I FOUND IT:)
Okay so here we go!
This is my latest charm, my mom just brought it back from Vegas for me! It is a stack of books, and I jumped out of my socks when she brought it home. (getting sentimental, because that's what jewelry is to me, so bare with me haha.) I love books. I have a book problem. I have a library in my room and odds are whenever you see me I'll have a book in my hand. When I was a little girl, i wanted to be an author so bad. In my second grade class, my teacher would slip me extra notebooks to write my stories in. Everything about books just mesmerize me. Barnes and Noble is my favorite place to chill and I just love to read. (maybe a post about good books soon?)
This is the tree of life. In my family, this is basically one of our signs. It represents family, and although mine drives me crazy like 85% of the time, they are my family and I love them, and will never be able to love people as much as them.
Tell me this is not the cutest little thing EVER. It's a telephone booth, and my mom picked this one out because my dreams, is to go to the UK. Everything about it, i just want to experience it. And the majority of the things i love originate from there, like Harry Potter, The 1975, The Beatles, One Direction, you get the gist. The people there just seem so rad and i just want to live it.
Puzzle pieces are a symbol that represents autism, and wearing these is a way that people show their support. But to me, puzzle pieces mean something different. My grandma, who we called Nana, (pronounced Nah-Na, not like NAAA-na. I don't know if this makes sense haha), loved puzzles. Every my family went over (which was multiple times a week) she would have a new puzzle out, and we would sit down with her and help her put them together. My Nana means every thing to me. She was what inspired my love for fashion, because she was a seamstress, and anything you wanted to wear, she could make. She had unconditional love for everyone, and was always quick to forgive. She taught me how to be a young lady at a young age, and to always give people a second chance. I'm just gonna stop now, because if i keep going I'll never stop.
My puppy Zoe is the love of my life. She bites me and hates me sometimes but i love her so frickin much. She is not just a dog, but a part of this family and i love her fluffy little butt so much.
I have an obsession with cameras, new and old, and am (currently) a photo student. I'll always love photography, (like fashion) even if i am not studying it.
This little tiny earth i'm holding in my hand is the cutest thing i've ever seen and one of the most important. My dream is to travel. I know i say my dream is to be a cop, or to have a farm, which they are, but to Travel, that is my number 1. I have maps all over my room. I pick out the places i will go someday. I'm 19 years old, poor as hell, (student probs) and am working my butt off just so when i'm a few years older, i can do this. If someone asked me if i could go anywhere, right this moment, I'd pick ireland. I could go on and on about all of the places i want to see and the kind of people i want to meet. If i'm going to do anything when i'm older, it's travel.
So now that i'm done rambling about all of my charms, you're free to go. Hope you guys liked the necklaces, i'll see you soon for rings!
Thanks for reading :)
xx Anna
