RINGS!!! Accessory part 4!

Hey guys :)

So our next part of the accessory series is rings!

I AM OBSESSED WITH RINGS!! SO OBSESSED!! I just love them.

I've broken this post into little sections so its easier to figure out what kind of ring is what!
First is everyday rings!

These are my "everyday" rings. I wear these rings everyday!

The small sun midi ring on my left hand is from a festival i just went to this summer with my mom and sister. There was a ring booth, and i saw this ring and was drawn to it and couldn't set it down. I belong in the sun, it's a fact and i have ever since i was young. But this ring also means a lot to me because i love the quote about the moon dying every night so the sun can live... hold on.  I will find this exact quote for you. (watch for P.S.)

Suns are also SO IN RIGHT NOW. The sun with the little face is the symbol of this summer for me. It's just so urban I love it.

On my right hand is my Claddagh ring. I NEVER take this ring off it is glued to my body. A claddaugh ring has a special meaning, and originates from Ireland. I'm not going to tell you, just because this is going to be a long post, so you have to look it up. :) but the ring specifies whether you're single, dating, engaged or married. I am in a relationship, so that is my the ring is facing the way it is. You all know i love specific meanings for my jewelry. This was my birthday present from my boyfriend and i just love it i never take it off.  Now, for other simple rings that can be worn for "everyday"!
Small rings with a tiny detail are perfect for everyday use. FOR EVERYDAY WEAR, MAKE SURE THE RING IS STERLING SILVER OR GOLD OR WHATEVER BECAUSE IF IT IS NOT IT WILL TURN YOUR FINGERS GREEN AND THAT WILL RUIN MY DAY ANYDAY. I'm not sure where I got this ring, but i have a feeling it was from Kohl's!

I used to wear this ring everyday but it is cheap metal, so it turned me green and it makes me crazy but i still love this ring and wear it when i am going out. This kind of ring is perfect for wearing anything. It basically goes with anything, because theres like 12 different colors in it, and for me, it definitely went with all my black! I got this (and the next ring) in a pack from Kohl's. I can't remember the brand, so it's either Candie's, Mudd, or So (sorry guys, i'm off my store game.)

Simple rings with a gem in the middle are subtle and perfect for any outfit. They don't grab attention like accent rings, but still add that flair that an outfit needs.

ACCENTS!

So this ring is from another set from Kohl's and it's so grunge and punk. I don't wear it that often, to be honest I forgot i had it but now that i found it i'm going to ROCK IT. I love it. It's so different and definitely an eye-catcher.

So i've come to the conclusion that the majority of these accent rings are from Kohl's packs, so basically go get Kohl's packs when they're on clearance because you get like 7 rings for CHEAP!!! This one is just big enough to be too much for an everyday, but nothing less than an accent.

Pack. From. Kohl's. It's a peach ring with small studs around it and it's perfect for a simple outfit and it chunky enough that it doesn't look humungous. I just really like this one.

GUYS GUESS WHAT? THIS ISN'T FROM KOHL'S IT'S FROM CLAIRES! This ring is so detailed and adorable. The amount of times i've had to glue the rose back on though is almost not worth it. This ring is so detailed it cant be put with a lot of other rings because the other rings would take away from this.

JADORE DIOR. This isn't Dior don't get your hopes up. Its from Forever 21 and this ring is basically self explanatory.

Crosses are still in and i'm almost waiting for them to not be in style anymore but they are kind of my guilty pleasure. This is from Claire's as well!

The band on this ring is just big enough to make the accent section. The light teal (sorry, you can't see, I'm still trying to find out how to do these pictures) is perfect for a simple outfit.

COORDINATING RINGS:

Coordinating rings is fun, but sometimes dangerous. Try to keep the rings in the same  category, like these are both studded bands.

A similar color make two or more rings go together good. Just choose shape and size wisely.

MIDI RINGS ARE SO IN. Pair em with a simple everyday ring, and you're good to go.

See you soon for bracelets
:)

xx, Anna

P.s. the quote! "the sun loved the moon so much, he died every night to let her breathe."

Origami Owl

hey guys!

so for the next and last necklace of this series (rings next!) , I'm doing this post on my origami owl!

Origami Owl is a new thing, and surprisingly a lot of people haven't heard of it yet. It's basically a locket for charms and you wear it around your neck or wrist. There are THOUSANDS OF CHARMS and they are so hard to pick out, so thank God i didn't pick mine.

My mom got my sister and I these necklaces for Easter and I almost cried. Each little charm in my locket represented something important to me, and she captured every single one of them.

Here is my locket! (this was really tricky to take pictures of, the glare just wouldn't go away.

P.s. Please try to deal wit my horrible nails i apologize. Some are pink in a few pictures and them some are just plain omg please don't mind them, i bite, bite, bite. Sorry again!

So basically this is so awesome i can't wait to talk about this hahaha!

So the locket can go on many different chains, mine is on a plain 24" chain so it hangs pretty low which i love. My locket is silver, and it actually has gems around the silver, but when i don't feel like being "sparkly" i flip it around to the plain side! On the side are two charms that my mom picked out, one is an angel wings, and another is a black bead (because she knows how much i love black muahahah.) There are gold lockets and chains as well, i just personally wear more silver!

So here's my favorite part, THE CHARMS.

These charms are so tiny, that when putting them into you're locket you have to use special tweezers. While taking pictures of these, i dropped one, and thought it was gone forever.... BUT I FOUND IT:)

Okay so here we go!

This is my latest charm, my mom just brought it back from Vegas for me! It is a stack of books, and I jumped out of my socks when she brought it home. (getting sentimental, because that's what jewelry is to me, so bare with me haha.) I love books. I have a book problem. I have a library in my room and odds are whenever you see me I'll have a book in my hand. When I was a little girl, i wanted to be an author so bad. In my second grade class, my teacher would slip me extra notebooks to write my stories in. Everything about books just mesmerize me. Barnes and Noble is my favorite place to chill and I just love to read. (maybe a post about good books soon?)

This is the tree of life. In my family, this is basically one of our signs. It represents family, and although mine drives me crazy like 85% of the time, they are my family and I love them, and will never be able to love people as much as them.

Tell me this is not the cutest little thing EVER. It's a telephone booth, and my mom picked this one out because my dreams, is to go to the UK. Everything about it, i just want to experience it. And the majority of the things i love originate from there, like Harry Potter, The 1975, The Beatles, One Direction, you get the gist. The people there just seem so rad and i just want to live it.

These next two charms probably mean the most to me. My great grandmother, (who lived to be 94, and had dementia), loved the song "You Are My Sunshine" and my favorite version is by Johnny Cash. The nurses in her nursing home would sing it to her, because that's what she was to them. She lit up everyone's day and never disappointed with that. My mom and grandma always told me that she never complained a day in her life, and that made me try to realize why i did so much. She was a ray of sunshine, and i hope when i get to be her age, people love me the way we all loved her.

Puzzle pieces are a symbol that represents autism, and wearing these is a way that people show their support. But to me, puzzle pieces mean something different. My grandma, who we called Nana, (pronounced Nah-Na, not like NAAA-na. I don't know if this makes sense haha), loved puzzles. Every my family went over (which was multiple times a week) she would have a new puzzle out, and we would sit down with her and help her put them together. My Nana means every thing to me. She was what inspired my love for fashion, because she was a seamstress, and anything you wanted to wear, she could make. She had unconditional love for everyone, and was always quick to forgive. She taught me how to be a young lady at a young age, and to always give people a second chance. I'm just gonna stop now, because if i keep going I'll never stop.

My puppy Zoe is the love of my life. She bites me and hates me sometimes but i love her so frickin much. She is not just a dog, but a part of this family and i love her fluffy little butt so much.

I belong on a beach. End of story. Everyone knows this. I just belong there.

I have an obsession with cameras, new and old, and am (currently) a photo student. I'll always love photography, (like fashion) even if i am not studying it.

This little tiny earth i'm holding in my hand is the cutest thing i've ever seen and one of the most important. My dream is to travel. I know i say my dream is to be a cop, or to have a farm, which they are, but to Travel, that is my number 1. I have maps all over my room. I pick out the places i will go someday. I'm 19 years old, poor as hell, (student probs) and am working my butt off just so when i'm a few years older, i can do this. If someone asked me if i could go anywhere, right this moment, I'd pick ireland. I could go on and on about all of the places i want to see and the kind of people i want to meet. If i'm going to do anything when i'm older, it's travel.

So now that i'm done rambling about all of my charms, you're free to go. Hope you guys liked the necklaces, i'll see you soon for rings!

Thanks for reading :)

#3

Hey guys :)

So now we are moving on to statement necklaces!

Statement necklaces are perfect for a special occasion or going out! They're chunky and ask for a lot of attention, so the key is to wear them with things that are solid colors or not too crazy!

I love to pair these necklaces up with a white crop top and black high waisted jeans. Adding a small pop of color to an outfit that is so plain makes it exciting, and not overwhelming. It's just enough spark, especially for me. I used to love wearing crazy colors and patterns. I've toned down.....A LOT. I rarely wear color when i go out, so statement necklaces are actually perfect for me.

This necklace is from Charlotte Russe. They have a lot of good accent jewelry, but a lot that's over the top, so just be careful haha.

This necklace is vintage, and was a gift from a friends grandmother. I love necklaces that are different. While the necklace above is very popular and in right now, EVERYONE IS WEARING THEM. Having a necklace like this is perfect. I love the shape of the beads or whatever and then the spiral inside. The color is wonderful too. A cobalt blue, with a teal inside and silver accent. I loveeeee vintage. Guys, you should know this by now. I love things that are different and stand out.

This necklace is also from Charlotte and is one of my favorites i have. It's so simple, and THIS COLOR CALLS MY NAME. My computer case, phone charger, nails, everything has been this color lately. For some reason this necklace reminds me of a horn???

Hope y'all like these necklaces, see ya later for the next post :)

Simple, everyday necklace! Accessories series #2

Hey guys!

So for the second post of this accessories series, i picked a simple everyday necklace. Wearing a simple necklace is what i've done my whole life. I try to find a significant meaning in my jewelry, something that makes it meaningful to me. (i mean, minus the accent necklaces, [coming next btw!!] they're just adorable!)

So recently, when I've just been chilling or having a dress down day, (what am i talking about i basically wear it for everything) I've been wearing this Tiffany and Co. necklace.

I got this necklace a few years ago from my godmother for Christmas, and it's one of the most beautiful necklaces I've ever seen. (i would have got a close up, but my parents had my dslr, please forgive me. If y'all want, i cant take a close up and stick it on here! LET ME KNOW.)

It looks like a little pad lock, that is the shape of it, and on it of course it says Tiffany and Co. but it's in script and it's just so pretty. Whenever I put this on, I think of my aunt/godmother and how much I just want to squeeze her for this necklace. It's one of the most beautiful gifts I have ever been given.

See you guys tomorrow for some accent necklaces! thanks for reading my loves :))

ACCESSORIESSSSSS

Hey guys, i'm gonna do a short little series of accessories!!

And i'm gonna do necklaces first, then earrings, bracelets, and so on.

So starting off with necklaces, IM STARTING WITH CHOKERS BECAUSE THEY HOT. I have a vintage, gold small chain that fits like a choker from my grandmother and I love it. Chokers are so in, i wish i had more to show you guys but i have this cute gold one for now!!!
ps please bare with me with these pics. My parents went to vegas (without me, frickin cool) and took my dslr, so i had to use a different camera. But the baby should be back tonight so no more weird photos :)

Chokers are so in right now i could scream. I'm 19, so when i was like five years old those black stretchy chokers were in and they were so rad and i really want it back like i'm kicking myself for ever getting rid of those!! TRENDS ALWAYS COME BACK. REMEMBER THIS!!!!!

Chokers are absolutely perfect for summer. In the warm weather, we all wear tube tops, (what i'm wearing in these pics), low cut necks, and spaghetti strap shirts/dresses/whatever. They are perfect for low cut, or when you're showing some chest. (not boobs, keep those covered my girlies haha.) Chokers seem to portion out your chest and neck when you are wearing something low cut, and they are perfect for a neckline without a lot of detail.

Chokers are a MUST HAVE FOR SUMMER!!!
also, comment guys or tweet me or comment on my insta! I wanna know if you guys like what i'm doing and if you have suggestions let me know!

See you guys soon for another necklace,

xx Anna

Third Outfit of the Day!

Hey guys!
Here is the third outfit of the day! And after this post, i have a huge surprise :o most of you know though, and if you go look at my instagram (annaspickingflowers) you'll see it!

But anyway, here's da outfit!

I went totally out of my comfort zone with this outfit. Lately, I've been stuck to NO COLOR and comfy clothes. But for this, I guess i decided to do something different than my usual.

The top is from Kohl's, and is white with pink flowers and a cow skull with flowers on the horns. I saw it, (it was only $2 on clearance) and thought IT WAS SO COOL. Whenever i wear it, i just wear it with leggings or black jeans. But I don't know what got into me thinking i could pair it with a black floral skirt. It worked for me though.

So the skirt is from Charlotte Russe and I literally bought it 4 and a half years ago. SPOILER ALERT: it's okay to keep old clothes if they still fit, some styles come back, while others never fade. just make sure you're not hoarding! That's my problem. I loved this skirt since i bought it. It's very girly, but paired up with ripped tights and combat boots bring an edge to it.

Combining two different patterns is fun, but you do have to be careful with it. The two patterns should have a common color (like mine was a light green). When combining, make sure you don't look like a clown (unless that's the look you're going for) and if you don't think it looks right, it probably REALLY doesn't look right to other people. Just be careful, and have fun!

The tights i have on are just from a drugstore, and all i did was rip, rip, rip! be careful when ripping tights. Once they are ripped, they keep stretching and ripping, so make sure that all the holes are spread out and not in revealing places haha.

The necklace i'm wearing, (you can see it better in the top picture) is from Charlotte as well, but off the clearance rack. I got this gigantic chunky awesome necklace for $5!

And the boots, MY FAVORITE. The boots are from Kohl's as well, and are Mudd. I GOT THESE BOOTS FOR $15. Originally, they were $79.99!!

GIRLS AND GUYS: LOOK ON CLEARENCE AND SALE RACKS! Especially in the middle of a season. You will find things that you can still wear in this season, because halfway through, they start putting out the next season's clothes. All these stores already have back to school signs out. THAT MEANS RUN TO CLEARANCE BECAUSE IT IS STILL FILLED WITH SUMMER CLOTHES THAT YOU HAVE 2 MONTHS TO STILL WEAR.

Kohl's is seriously great. Even if you're not a huge fan, go in there and just look through the clearance. You WILL find at least one thing that is dirt cheap that you like.

I am telling you, i've been saving  up for doc martens, but i saw these black boots that looked almost identical, and flipped out. $15 dollars for a pair of boots?! JUMP AT THAT OPPORTUNITY. Saving money is always a good thing. Especially when you're a broke college student like me.

Hope you guys enjoyed this mini outfit series, I'll see you soon!
Thanks for reading, i LOVE U!!!

Another OOTD? y'all ready?

Hey guys, here's the second outfit of the day!

So this look is completely different from the first one, and the next one! It's for those chill days or nights, sitting around a campfire, fishing, taking a walk.

The romper I'm wearing is literally 4 years old and i can't find myself the need to get rid of it. It still fits like a glove, and is the most comfortable romper EVER, if that's even possible, to find a comfortable romper. I paired up this Target romper with a Kohl's Mudd Denim Jacket and my Coconut cowboy boots from journey's.

I used to never think i'd be caught dead in cowboy boots, but it's one of those things about me that I said had changed. They are for comfort, and they are also for fashion. I don't even care. I love them. I saw them and fell in love! (Guys, I seriously do have a boot problem. I think i need an intervention.) My mom told me it was too hot to wear boots and that it's summer and I almost blew a gasket because my boots are my favorite. I walk so well in them, because they actually keep me balanced and are tight on my feet so i'm not falling or tripping all over, they steady me when i have to walk fast and over things like rocks and stones. BOOTS ARE IMPORTANT- FOR ALL SEASONS MY FRIENDS. Perfect for spring, because the snow might not have melted all the way, and rain: RAIN IS BAD BOOTS ARE GOOD FOR RAIN. Winter, that's just self explanatory. For Fall, they are chic and warm, and cool. It really depends on warmth with your socks, not just the boot. And summer. I love  boots in the summer. .I love the look of short shorts with boots. Don't get me wrong, i wear my flip flops constantly, especially on those days where it's too hot to breathe.

A black romper is a summer must have. It's the easiest thing to style. Maybe I'll do a post on how to style up and down simple garments. What do you guys think? Romper's are great, they can be worn for anything. And they're so easy to throw on. They're basically a whole outfit in one.

I've worn this romper to so many things over these 4 years it's almost embarrassing haha. I've dressed it up, and i've dressed it down. It's just one of those items of clothing that I'm clung to, and the day i grow out of it or it really, REALLY gets too raggedy, will be a sad day for me.

Denim jackets are a must. Come on, for spring, summer, and fall. They go with pretty much everything and can also be dressed up or down. Denim jackets have been around forever, these will never go out of style! They are worth the purchase! You will wear them thin. Trust me.

Another thing i really love lately is baseball caps. I love them. They can actually be chic. I always steal my boyfriends Texas hat whenever we go out, so of course I had to wear it for this.
They are perfect to wear when you're just chilling, kinda like this whole outfit. I wear my hat when i go to the beach, pool, or lake. If my hair gets wet and like an afro (curly hair probs) i just pull on my cap and aviators and i'm all good.

Now, this is a pretty long post, so after reading all this, i'm leaving you with a picture of me doing weird things on the shoot hahaha.

I'll see you soon my loves,
xx Anna

OOTD As promised!

Hey guys! So here is an outfit of the day!

I made my sister come with me and take pictures on my dslr camera and was a nervous wreck to have someone else use it but she did great! Here's are some pics :)

I have this weird thing with neutrals, especially black. I LOVE WEARING BLACK. 95% of the time thats what I'm wearing. I'm trying to bring color back into my wardrobe though. You'll see that on one of the next posts. :)

But nothing is wrong with wearing neutrals! WEAR WHAT YOU LIKE. SERIOUSLY. At the end of the day, the only person who needs to feel comfortable and like your outfit IS YOU. If you love to wear hot pink, rock it out girl (or guy!)

I also have a real boot problem. I AM OBSESSED WITH BOOTS. (Guess you know this means a boot filled post will also be coming ;) )

So in this post, I'm wearing a hat from forever 21, (which i'm STILL in love with), A lace tank from Urban Outfitters (bought on clearance of course), high waisted black jeans from charlotte russe, heeled Simply Vera Vera Wang booties from Kohl's, and the kimono I made myself.

Even though I really don't enjoy sewing, sometimes it's worth it. :)

I absolutely loved this outfit. But I really apologize about how wrinkly my shirt is... I've been really bad about ironing clothes lately, mostly because I don't really care I just throw it on hahaha.

But i do have something to say about blacks on black.

Honestly, I DON'T CARE IF THEY MATCH OR NOT ANYMORE. I just wear what I want and if it looks horrible THEN BOOHOO. If i like it, that's all that matters. :)

So remember that, wear what you want, and don't let anyone try to change that.

See you soon,
xx Anna

XOXO GG

Okay so I know this post was supposed to be about concerts but that will just have to come later.

DO YOU GUYS WATCH GOSSIP GIRL?

I JUST STARTED AND I HAVE A PROBLEM.

So basically this is just going to be a fangirl thing because I'm addicted and have been watching it allllllll night and i just get so obsessed with things and omg.

Okay so first things first, THE CLOTHES.

I am IN LOOOOOOOOVE with Serena's clothes. Her style is everything and i just have to say I am in love with her and Dan Humphrey omg. (I've heard my opinion will change about him, but NOOOOOO).

Maybe it's just because Blake Lively is, well, Blake Lively. But Serena is BEAUTIFUL and I secretly love her personality. I love that she loves her brother so much and that she doesn't act like Blair-

SPEAKING OF BLAIR

I kind of hate Blair. Is this normal? Everyone loves her but like, why? (granted, I'm still on season one and on like the 11th episode.)

On another fashion note, what do you guys think of Blair's style? Over the past few years hen the show was still running i used to see her picture EVERYWHERE with girls saying how much they adore her style. But me? I'm not into it. And her little ducklings that follow her around... EW.

TIP: After you turn 13, please, do not match with your best friend. (unless it's an occasion). But to school or a party, please just don't do it. People will call you "twinkies".

Everything about Blair i love and i just have to get that off my chest.

Okay so now onto the whole dating things. Uhm Nate and Chuck really bother me. I'm Sorry. But Dan OHHHH DAN I love Dan.

I just needed to say something about Gossip Girl because it is a new obsession oh goodness. I won't go on anymore because it's probably annoying but oh well haha.

I will be on either Tuesday or Wednesday with the concerts post and an outfit of the day! See you guys then :)

July 4th

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to check in :)

I hope you guys all had a rad 4th of july. Mine was definitely eventful haha.

I'm not doing an outfit of the day today like I used to but don't worry, there will be lots to come :)

I just kinda wanna update you guys and let you now that the blog will be changing quite a bit. It's not going to be strictly fashion anymore. BUT TRUST ME: there still will be a lot of fashion posts. I can't just not do any!

Basically, the blog is going to be for everything. My outfits, my favorite styles, my photography, my random thoughts, my rants, and just little silly things.

I've changed a lot and gone through a lot and i just have to share it all with you but have to make it organized or i might go crazy haha. (well, more crazy).

I'm thinking the post tomorrow is going to be on the concerts i've gone to/going to this summer!

So i guess i'll see you tomorrow? :)

Guess who's back back back, back again.

Hi ya'll,
It's me. Its really me back on the blog. After almost a year.

I am so sorry that I let the blog fall apart. I went away to college, and I lost the time to update and write. So now, I'm back. Not just for the summer, but for good. And I'll never leave again. Because something hit me and i just missed this so much.

I want to let you guys know what's been happening in my life for the past 10099753 months I haven't been here.

I went away to college to study Fashion Design, which turned into Photography, which almost turned into English. College was an experience. I hated every thing I did there. When i showed up, I was 100% sure that I wanted to work in the fashion industry. Then, my colleges fashion program wasn't exactly what i wanted, so i switched over to photography thinking, "oooh! Fashion photography yes!" Then photography didn't work out, and basically i started going crazy because for my whole life, i knew what i wanted. Fashion, fashion, fashion. Then something just hit me and now i'm not going back to that school and i'm trying to figure out what the hell i want.

Now here I am. And I have no idea what I want to do with my life. I still love fashion. Fashion got me through the toughest times of my life, along with music and books. It's just, i don't know what I want anymore.

I changed a lot this past year. I realized a lot about myself, and what I like and what I don't.

I fell in love, which definitely has played a role, even though everyone says it shouldn't.

I realized I like comfy clothes, and that's is a-okay. I'd rather be in yogas and a hoodie than heels and  a dress but DON'T GET ME WRONG; heels and dresses are still HOT. I still love them, but after wearing them, I like to come home and put my "sweaties" on and just chill.

I also realized that I am not the city girl I thought I once was. But I am also not a full out country girl. I'm just a small town girl, i have no idea what i want to be when i grow up, but i know i want horses. :)

Basically, i'm just finally learning to be 110% myself. I never truly was before, but here i am now, and i'm not going to hold back. Some nights, i go out in purple lipstick, my knee high combat boots and dressed in all black, and then the next, i'm in heals and a dress. And then, 55% of the time, i'm in leggings or yogas just chillin' being frickin comfy. For so long, while i didn't follow the normal crowd, i followed to crowd i wanted to be like, but forgot that i still have to do and be the kind of person I WANT TO BE.

I also learned that people are going to judge your every move. They're going to put you down whether you like it or not. I've just learned so much. And it changed the way I think and the way i see myself and this world. Sure, i'm a negative nancy most of the time, but i really am working on it, because before all of the stress and college and depression started, i was a happy girl, nothing but positive energy flowing from me. And I need that positivity back.

So here i am. I'm back here. And i'm going to write through it all. And I'm going to get to the place i want to be with my health and emotions and i'm going to figure out what i want to do when i grow up, and i'm going to be in love the whole time i'm doing it. :)

Hope you guys missed me, because i sure as hell missed you.

 See you guys soon,
xx Anna
