Outfit of yesterday! :) (ART AWARDS AHHH)

So yesterday was kind of a big day for me. You know the scholastic art awards that you can get win when you're in school? I won two! So yesterday was like the ceremony or whatever it's called haha :)

So I was so excited to get dressed because I got a new leather jacket haha. So here is my outfit!
I'm sorry, I have no idea where I got my dress haha. But my leather jacket is from forever 21 (HOLLA) my shoes are ELLE from kohls, black tights are from rite aid haha, and my clutch is from Tarjayyy :) I hope you guys like it! Tomorrow is also my first day back to school for the new semester, so I will definitely show you my outfit and I HAVE GREAT NEWS FOR YOU! :) I love you guys so much. Thank you for reading!

Carrie Bradshaw

Hey y'all sorry I haven't posted in a while. :(
I havent really been hit with inspiration lately. Living in a town where there is nothing to do kind of does that to me sometimes. I just want to go out and dress cute and wear heels to do something fun, just SOMETHING GAHHHH!

But something exciting of the day- I started my internship at the gown shop in the next town over :)
It really was so much fun. Everyone that works there is amazing. The time flew by, and I just had a good time! (being surrounded by beautiful gowns all day is so much fun. TRUST ME!)

So i have a few more days of that left and i will definitely keep you posted :) For the rest of this week, I also plan on doing an ootd!
(side note: I'm going to be doing different photo styles-are you as pumped as I am!?)

Next week is the start of my last semester as a high school student as well, so I'm really going to be having fun with my wardrobe :)

I havent posted in a while and it is making me sad :( But i will definitely be posting like before because (now here comes the moral to this post!) I have a role model.

Okay okay..
So growing up as a kid didnt everyone always ask you who your role model was? I don't even remember any i've said. Even as a young teenager (13,14,15, years old), was there someone I really looked up to? I mean of course there have been people that I admire their style or their elegance or attitude (Emma Watson, Kate Middleton and my Mommy). But in a way that I might want to live like them or pursue a career like them? I started thinking about this the other day as I was watching The Carrie Diaries (y'all best be watching that show! HELLO?! SEX AND THE CITY?!). I've always loved Carrie since i started watching Sex and the City, but after watching the pilot of TCD (the carrie diaries) something clicked in my head. "No wonder why you've always loved Carrie! She loves fashion and is a writer!? Duh Anna."

So i must say i do have a role model. Carrie Bradshaw, your style, your writing (even though i definitely dont write a sex column!), your city. It finally clicked. She's passionate about love and her writing, and even though she is a character from a book series, TV show, and movie, I look up to her for that.

I can't wait to watch more of the Carrie Diaries and of course watch re-runs of Sex and the City to study up her style. If you guys have never seen either of these shows/movies WATCH WATCH WATCH. Yeah, the girls can get bit (i dont know the word for it.....Saucy. Thats a good one.) but im not telling you to watch it for that reason. Watch it because even beyond the sex and men, the show really does have a great meaning to it. And i'm not telling you what it is, you need to watch it ;)

2013 Golden Globes-Who was your favorite?!

Hey y'all :)

So a few days ago were the Golden Globes, and watching the red carpet for it is always the best part! I love seeing the stars arrive and what they are wearing. I was impressed with a lot of people this year, but also suprised with a few. Here a few that i think should be mentioned :)

I really loved quite a few of the looks, but my top three favorites have to be Zooey Deschanel, Jennifer Lawrence, and Julianne Hough! Here's why :)

Zooey:
I tought Zooey lookeed amazing. Her style makes me smile because it's just so cute and quirky! (my best friend tells me all the time that I'm just like Zooey. She says "You know the show New Girl. Well, you're her." BEST COMPLIMENT EVER.) She has such a girly style and I just love her I don't know maybe its because of New Girl or 500 Days of Summer or Elf i don't know BUT I LOVE HER.

Her red dress was adorable and so flattering wither her skin tone and dark hair. Red was a hot color on the red carpet it seemed that night, and a few people really rocked it. But look at Zooey. HOW CAN YOU NOT THINK THIS WOMAN IS ADORABLE. Her pearl necklace gives the red Oscar de la Renta gown a retro, vinatge look. Almost old hollywood. But her hair is what gives it her quirky, adorable touch. It's pulled back in a boucy pony tail and her bangs are adorable as ever. I think Zooey was on the best dressed woman of that night!

 

Jen:

Another person rocking the red on the red carpet was Jennifer Lawrence. Okay so I went on and on about how much I love Zooey but COME ON NOW HOW DO YOU NOT LOVE JLAW JUST AS MUCH. Jennifer Lawrence is so fricken hot, and Katniss Everdeen. I love her as an actress and she always looks top notch. I absolutely loved her look for her Hunger Games premeire. And she was a winner that night (holla at my girl) and i'm not gonna lie, i loved her "I beat Meryl" dig. It wasn't meant TOWARDS Meryl Streep. I loved it, and I 100% support Jen.

Jen looked AMAZING. She wore Dior Haute Couture and was absolutely stunning. She even had the flu, and look at how put together and gorgeous she lookds. I loved the boob part of the dress. When i first saw it while watching it on E! i was like "WTF IS JEN WEARING?!" But then, he more i kept seeing it, i started to love it. It's so Dior. It's so structured and very vintage looking i just absolutely love it. She rocked it and look smoking hot. I love that her hair was up so you could see the bust. I just think she looked amazing. Perfecting.

 

Julianne:

All I'm gonna say is DAMN. When Julianne came on screen I was stunned. SHE LOOKED AMAZING. Her hair and her dress OMG HER DRESS GUYS. I just loved the entire thing and I adore her and Ryan together :).

First things first, she looked so edgy and her hair was amazing! I absolutely loved the faux-hawk look! and her dress oh my LAWD. Gorgeous. Absolutely Gorgeous. Her Monique Lluillier gown was TO DIE FOR. And her stick bug ear cuff by Daniela Villegas WOW. Some people may disagree but i love it. Her make up and hair look perfect with the dress and her edge shows omg. She looks AMAZING.

 

Another person who's look I ADORED was Kat McPhee's. She pulled of her Thyskens Theory dress wonderfully. Because of the plunged neckline and slit in the skirt he dress could have looked a bit trampy for slutty or whatever, but she did not look like that at all. She looked amazing. She made it look sexy and classy and her shoes were so cute! She just really wowed me. I love her look.

Now, onto Lucy Liu. Gorgeous hair. Beautiful Dress. I absolutely loved it- but not for her. I can see someone like Zooey Deschanel. When i look at it i think it looks very young and I love the side braid with it. But i think Lucy looks better in something with a bit of an edge. I loved the hair and the Carolina Herrera dress, just not on her. Although, she did look beautiful.

These are not the only looks that I am dying to talk about. Some others I liked were JLo, Amanda Seyfried, and many more. I adored Nicole Kidman's dress. I CANT STOP THINKING OF ALL THE BEAUTIFUL GOWNS.

 

Hello, Award Season?! Y'all better watch the red carpets! You always see things you never thought you would. Like at the red carpet for the Oscars last year The Dictator poured "Kim Jong Ill's" ashes on Ryan Seacrests BURBERRY SUIT. At first I laughed but then i was like "What just happened that wasn't staged and that's a Burberry suit!!?!?"

AWARD SEASON!

So last night I was working on a post of the fashion show, but I was having trouble uploading pictures and I was getting realllll frustrated haha.

Also Kat McPhee! OMG she looks so sexy! She was so girly last year! This is so good. I love it.

FASHION SHOW FASHION SHOW HOLLLLAAA

So every year the mall in my town has a Bridal show with a fashion show and stores and boutiques and DJs and cake people set up all of this stuff for brides to look at. So this year some of my friends are modeling so I'm going to go help them get all ready and then do some extra stuff around the shop cause the boutique I'm working for for it is having a trunk show! So be very prepared for pictures! It's going to be so much fun! :)

This was going to be the surprise I told y'all about a while ago, and it just got confirmed. I am so excited :) so keep you're eyes out for a new post about it!

Hellooooo my beautiful readers :)

I'm sorry this post is quite late. It was an eventful night. hahah. So this post is about me and my best friend because we are goobers.

This post was going to be about wearing a summer garment all year round. I recently bought a crop top bustier that i'm in love with. And even though it's a crop top i wanted to wear it in the winter! It's too cute not to!!

So the post was going to have four different outfits. One for each season and they all were going to incorporate the one garment. My garment was my crop top Kayleigh's (my girl in dese pics :)) was a brocade-ish dress.
But once we started going with the outfits, we basically just started playing dress up. :) So.... some of the outfits aren't quite my style but hey, (remember our new years resolutions?!) DO SOMETHING NEW! :)
So here are the seasons, hope you like :)

And the spring pictures didn't turn out :( Thank my sister for that bahaha.)

So the moral of this post is number 1: Just because one garment (my crop top and Kayleigh's dress) may have been sold for a specific season like summer doesn't mean you can't make it work for other seasons! and Number 2: WHERE CRAZY THINGS. LIFE IS MORE FUN THIS WAY :)

quick message IM CRYIN WTF

Hey y'all i've been working on the post for tonight because it was so fun to do. My best friend Kayleigh and I had so much fun taking pictures and stuff for it. BUT IT WILL NOT LET ME UPLOAD THE PICTURES AND I DONT KNOW WHY IS THIS REAL LIFE THE INTERNET ISNT WORKING.

It's also 1 am in my time zone and this is quite frustrating at 1 am.
I AM SO MAD THIS WAS GOING TO BE THE MOST FUN POST EVER OMFG WHY.
But, this just means y'all will see it tomorrow :)
Hopefully i can figure out all of this picture stuff with some help from someone who knows how to use a computer hahah.

2013, what are you doing diffrent?

So this post is going to be a little bit longer than most of my other posts, because i have a lot to say. I had a post all written out last night and when i went to post it it deleted so i didnt post it so now it is that post combined with another idea hah :)
Before I start rambling, i have a little announcment for you alllll. :)

                   I TELL Y'ALL TO COMMENT AND Y'ALL DON'T COMMENT BUT I KNOW Y'ALL ARE OUT THERE! Okay, this isn't your guys fault because a number of people have asked me why their comments don't send or won't show up. So, if you do go to post a comment (which i'd love!) underneath the comment box is a little box that says "Comment as" and there is a drop down box. You have to click either a google account or whatever, (and you sign in or whatever) or choose an open ID. If you want to comment with an open ID you need a URL so you could use a twitter, tumblr, pinterest whatever! I really have no idea why it does this (I'm not too advanced with all of this computer stuff haha) so if any of you have more problems with commenting i'm sorry :(

Okay, so now onto the actual morals of the story :)

It's the beginning of a new year, and a lot of people do New Year's resolutions where they try to do something or change or i don't know. Whatever they choose to do. I never really did one and stuck with it, and i don't really know why. A lot of people say "what's the point? you're still the same person on January 1st as you were on December 31st." And they're right, but it's never too late to do something different. And doing it right at the start of the New Year is the perfect time. So why not?
This year, (or i should say so far two days into this year) I plan on doing a few different things.

I always want to tell y'all about the town I live in. If i told you I feel like you would understand a lot more about me and how i feel here, and my goals for when i get older. I don't live in a God awful, horrible town. No, it's not like that. I guess a lot of people might like it here. But i don't plan on staying here my whole life. The town I live in isn't tiny or big, it's kind of right in the middle. I see basically the same things everyday.

Think of New York City. (if you've been there. Or think of another really big, populated city.) Think of all of the different things you see there every trip you take there or everytime you walk down the street. No one is dressed the same. Everyone has their own sense of style. Many people are hurrying to actually get somewhere.
This is the kind of place I aspire to live. Where I live, a ton of people give me strange looks and comment on the things I wear because they dont go with the normal in my town I guess.(The other day I wore my extreme wedge booties to the mall and i should have counted how many people gave me the stink eye. Also, one day I wore shorts with tights to school and i heard kids saying "What is she wearing?" all down the hallway.) But also, other people have told me they like my outfits (which always makes me feel better!) and wish they could wear their clothes like that to school.

PEOPLE. WHY CAN'T YOU WEAR THEM TO SCHOOL?
I know why, because i used to be just like it.
People are always so quick to judge someone for what they wear. In middle school and my freshman year I would put on a cute little outfit before school and love it. But then, right before I walked out the door i would run back to my room and change into jeans because I didn't want to stand out. Why are we always so afraid to stand out and be ourselves? Really. As i've gotten older i've said screw it. Especially this school year.
Take chances! I dare all of you!
This year, I am not going to let anyones comments or looks make me feel bad about my outfit. The way we dress shows people what kind of person we are. I have always been a bit quirky. And i dress quirky. AND I LOVE IT. If someone else doesn't, that is their own fault. :)
Lately i've been loving grunge and indie. I've been loving sky high heels. If i love those looks why shouldn't i wear them?! They express who I am and what I like, which is the whole point of fashion! Clothes are made to cover our bodies. But they are also made in different styles and colors and cuts to express who we are. And it doesn't go just with clothes. Nails, hair, make up, jewlery, tattoos everything. I LOVE ombre hair and colorful hair. I love hot nail art. I wish i could do a smokey eye because damn are they sexy. (i always look a bit like a racoon because I am horrible at doing makeup haha :))
I dare all of my beautiful readers to do something crazy and dress how they want this year. Don't be afraid! I know I was not too long ago. I got my new Teen Vogue issue today and found such a great quote in an article called "Crazy Beautiful" and the article is basically about half of what i just wrote to y'all. It's about the new hair colors and styles and nail arts and piercings and all that jazz. This article truly inspired me, and i think all of you should read it. While i was reading it, i felt like the author was reading my mind. It was on point. The quote that really stuck with me was from a girl named Andrea being interviewed:
"If someone is bold enough or stupid enough to judge me for my style, I take it as a sign that I shouldn't waste my time on them."
This stuck out to me immediately. Because it is so true and I want all of y'all to remember it. I know that I sure am.

So that is the end of my ramble. Y'all got to know a bit more about me. But now I want to know more about you. :)
